Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Cisco Learning Partners

Orders and Order Management

What are factors that may affect how quickly my orders get fulfilled and ready to be managed on Cisco Learning Network Space?

  • If your credit is placed on hold with the Cisco Learning Store at Gilmore, you will need to resolve that before proceeding. Once your credit is no longer on hold, orders will be relayed to Cisco Learning Network Space for fulfillment.
  • Network performance not under our control may affect how quickly your orders appear on Cisco Learning Network Space.
  • If your orders are placed while Cisco Learning Network Space is under maintenance, you might experience additional delay.

After placing an order through Cisco Learning Store at Gilmore, how quickly can I expect to see my order on the Cisco Learning Network Space portal so I can distribute the access codes to my students?
While Cisco’s SLA mentions up to 3 business days, provided your credit with the Cisco Learning Store at Gilmore is good, you can expect to see your order appearing on Cisco Learning Network Space within 30 minutes to an hour after submitting the order.

After receiving my reservation confirmation from Cisco Learning Lab, how quickly can I expect to see the corresponding order on the Cisco Learning Network Space portal so I can distribute the access codes to my students?
The digital student kit portion of your scheduled lab is fulfilled Thursday at midnight the week before the class start date. You should be able to log in to Cisco Learning Network Space on Friday to distribute your access codes.

How do I know when I can start managing my orders on Cisco Learning Network Space?
When your order is ready to be managed, Cisco Learning Network Space will send an e-mail with the subject of “Order:###### Successfully Processed”. That e-mail is sent to addresses associated with the CCO IDs for your LP Site Administrators who had been properly on-boarded to Cisco Learning Network Space before the order was placed. On-boarded ESD administrators will receive such an e-mail for an order they’ve placed on behalf of the LPAs working with that ESD. The on-boarded LPA administrators will also receive that same e-mail, but only for orders pertaining to that LPA.

Can I return the digital kits for refund?
As with the printed Student Kits, all orders submitted are final. No refunds, exchanges, transfers or cancellations allowed. Since digital kits fulfillment is quick, please only order just enough quantity for immediate needs instead of stockpiling them.

How long is an Access Code good for?
By default, it’s good for 100 years from the date the order was placed. This is controlled by the Activation Period. The Activation Period Start and End Dates can be adjusted by the LP Admin under these circumstances:

  • The Activation Period Start Date can be changed only when none of the Access Codes has been redeemed. If any Access Code is redeemed, the Activation Period Start Date is locked and can no longer be changed.
  • The Activation Period End Date can be changed at any time. However, we recommend not changing the End Date unless really necessary. Any student who has not redeemed their Access Code before the Activation Period End Date will not be able to redeem it once that date has passed.

How do I reinstate a ‘Revoked’ student kit?
An LP Admin can no longer reinstate a student kit (i.e., move it from ‘Revoked’ back to ‘Redeemed’ status). To request a student kit to be reinstated, please open a support case by going to: https://learningspace.cisco.com/help

Is an API available for external systems to connect with Cisco Learning Network Space for purposes such as ordering and running reports?
Currently there is no such API made available externally. We will consider this for future implementation.

Troubleshooting

What do I do if a student hasn’t received their Access Code?
Please ask the student to check their Spam or Junk folder for an email with these fields:
From: Cisco Learning Network Space <CLNSpace@external.cisco.com>
Subject: Activation Info for Cisco Student Kit: (< acronym> < version>)
If the student cannot find the email, an LP Admin who has been on-boarded to manage your orders can log in and resend the email to the student. Please see the downloadable material from Admin Portal for Order Management and Assigning Digital Kits to Students for more information.

eReader Usage

How much can I print?
You can print up to 10 pages in each book within a course. (Please note that each time the Print button is clicked in a book, this counts as one page printed, whether or not you clicked OK in the Print dialog.) Please be advised that this digital version is designed for online use, not for printing. If the students prefer hard copy student kits, please order the printed version for them.

Can I download content and study offline?
Cisco eReader for Windows, Mac, iPad and Android are available for offline study. To download any Cisco eReader app:
